Q: How does mobile grooming work?
We bring our fully equipped grooming trailer right to your location. We'll park right outside your home on the curb. All we need is access to a flat area, garden tap and a power point. This convenient service saves you time and ensures your pet receives dedicated, one-on-one care.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that plans can change. Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment to avoid any cancellation fees. Please refer to our cancelation policy below for more information.
Q: What are your operating hours?
Our standard operating hours are from 8:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday (Thursdays N/A) and Saturdays 8:30am to 1:00pm.
Q: Is mobile grooming safe for my pet?
Absolutely! Monica, our fully trained professional groomer, will handle your dog with the utmost care and patience. We tailor our grooming services to match your dog's specific skin needs, using naturally derived, plant-based products. Our products are free from soaps, SLS or SLES, parabens, and harmful petrochemicals, ensuring a gentle and safe grooming experience for your furry friend.
Q: How long does grooming take?
Grooming times vary depending on your dog’s size and the type of grooming requested. Typically, it takes between 1-3 hours.
Q: What areas do you service?
We offer mobile dog grooming services throughout Albany and surrounding areas. Travel is free within a 10km radius from Yakamia (home base). Please note, beyond that, a fee of $1.30 per additional kilometer will apply. We Travel distance is up to 20km from Yakamia. For locations beyond this radius, please contact us for case-by-case considerations.
Q: Can I stay with my pet during the grooming session?
To ensure a minimum stress environment for your pet, we recommend that you wait in your home. However, if your pet requires special attention, please discuss this with us in advance.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
We currently accept payment methods including cash and online bank transfer payments.
Q: What should I do to prepare my pet for grooming?
Please ensure your pet is brushed and free of fleas. If your pet has any special needs or conditions, kindly inform us in advance. If your dog is matted (it happens), there will be a dematting cost of $15.00 per 15 minutes.
Q: How often should my pet be groomed?
The frequency of grooming depends on your pet’s breed, coat type, and lifestyle. Generally, we recommend grooming every 4-8 weeks. Poodles and Poodle crosses should be generally clipped every 5-7 weeks. We can provide personalised recommendations.
Cancellation Policy
At Groom Co., we understand that sometimes schedules change and appointments may need to be canceled. However, we kindly ask for your cooperation in giving us adequate notice to adjust our schedule accordingly.
Notice Period: We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling of appointments.
Late Cancellations: If an appointment is canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, a fee amounting to 50% of the booked service will be charged.
No-Shows: If you fail to show up for your appointment without prior notification, a no-show fee of 50% of the booked service cost will be charged.
Waiver of Fee: We understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances happen. In such cases, please contact us as soon as possible, and we may consider waiving the cancellation fee on a case-by-case basis.
Payment of Fees: Cancellation and no-show fees must be paid before booking any future appointments.
